SGM Magnetics Corp. Announces Retirement of President Bob Melenick and Appointment of Ernesto Tirado as New President

April 20, 2026 — SGM Magnetics Corp., a global leader in separation and lifting magnet technology, has announced that Robert (Bob) Melenick, President of SGM Magnetics Corp. (USA), will retire following a distinguished 30-year career with the company. Effective April 14, 2026, Ernesto Tirado will succeed him as President.

Bob, who founded SGM’s North American operations, has played a key role in building the company’s reputation for technical excellence, professionalism, and customer commitment across the metal recycling and steel industries.

Ernesto Tirado has been appointed to lead SGM Magnetics Corp. into its next phase of growth. With a strong background spanning engineering, commercial execution, and project delivery, he brings a practical and results oriented approach, along with a deep understanding of the company and its markets. Ernesto will continue to build on SGM’s strong foundation while supporting innovation and driving performance across the organization. This transition also supports SGM’s continued development in advanced recycling technologies and high-performance system solutions.
